Server downtime and loss of some data
Hi all
Fluffy has advised that due to a server issue and rebuild of the forum platform some posts over about a 24hr period were unfortunately lost and cannot be retrieved. Sorry about this but it wasn't our fault.
Feel free to repost anything that has gone missing.

Re: Server downtime and loss of some data
I'm still having a bit of trouble with opening threads It says there was an "error with the database" and tells me to refresh. I have to log out and log back in to view/reply to threads. Is this a thing, or just me?

Re: Server downtime and loss of some data
I'll pass on the message. The moderators cannot do anything technical as we do not have access so everything must be done between Fluffy who is admin and the server.
Please bear with Fluffy on this.

Re: Server downtime and loss of some data
I had the same message a few times yesterday but everything seems to be working fine now.

Re: Server downtime and loss of some data
Apparently it's temporary - they're still restoring the forum in the background. It went up ASAP so you didn't all get too many withdrawal symptoms but there's still a bit of work going on that might cause the odd glitch. Hopefully it'll settle by tomorrow.

Yesterday I had the same problem but today everything seems to be working fine.
Thank you for getting back the forum so soon. I was feeling all withdrawal already, but I'm a HC junkie I know what a segmentation fault is and I can imagine that restoring everything is being a nightmare. You did a great job already so thank you again!

Re: Server downtime and loss of some data
Thank you for restoring the forum so quickly. I was having awful withdrawal symptoms, now that my exams are over . In all honesty, I was so upset lol when the website wouldn't work.
