Suggestion: 'Thank you' button?

I have used the rate thread before where I believe the OP has started a good topic for discussion

I knew of the rate option before, but it didn't come to mind when this topic was discussed. I mean, talk about a "Do'h!!" moment for me.

just thought I would pop by

on a dog forum I am on right now they have 'thanks'

you thank a post if you found it useful, such as a 'how to make biscuits' post, a detailed description of training ect.
I have used it a fair bit there, and I do feel its a nice way to know you have helped someone
I know the rating is on this forum, but other then such threads as 'lets see your cages' its hardly used.

I think just a 'thanks' button, that says under the post 'this post has been thanked 5 times' would work well
