Adding a poll at a later date?

Me and petal10 are running a small book club in the Misc chat section. We want to be able to add a poll to the existing thread this Thursday. Like Souffle does on the Hamster Photo Contest? I don't think this can be done normally. Is there any way we could be granted with the privileges to do just that, or any way around the issue? Thank you

You can either start a new thread with the details and add the poll as you make it or send me the details and I can add it for you. You won't be able to do it on that thread though as too long has passed since it was started.
