great idea, i like the suggestion of it being in the members lounge

It would stop posts being all over the place and make it easier to sell things

I have put this to the other mods and we will discuss it.

Personally, I think it could cause problems, if things got lost in the post, or if a member sent money, and didnt recieve anything. There is no insurance, or backup like with ebay. It would be great if everyone was as honest as us lot, but unfortunatley that isnt a reality.

I will put it to the other mods though, and see what they think.

Ohh I agree, there can be issues with it. Not sure if you're suggesting it could cause problems between members or someone blame the forum? As long as its stated that people buy or sell things via the classifieds section do so at their own risk it wont cause problems for the forum (as in people blaming the forum).

I've seen classifieds sections work on countless forums really well.

Plus it was just a suggestion to organise the threads that are already being created

Potentially it could cause both - problems between members and problems for the forum. It would certainly have to be 'at your own risk' if it were to go ahead.

I have asked the other mods for their opinions and suggestions, I will let you guys know when I hear back from them

It has been discussed but ultimately the decision lies with the forum owner and admin and he has not reached his decision as yet.
