Hi. I would clean out any dropping or soiled bedding everyday if the nest box is small but don't take all the bedding away. Leave the clean stuff. Hamsters like to have a shelter in their cage to sleep and make a nest in but it should really be big enough for them to move around in and store food in and they prefer that. Try putting in a shoebox with a hole cut in the side or something similar for your hamster to sleep in.
