Re: URGENT- blood in cage please help
thank you!
Daisy was a rockstar today at the vet, being so sweet. I think the entire vet staff fell in love with her what with all the compliments I got!
the vet said other than the bleeding she is in very good shape, especially for an older hamster. They couldn't determine the exact cause without an ultrasound which I decided not to do for now but they did give us anti-inflammatory and antibiotics.
the vet said it can either be an infection or cancer but she couldn't feel any lumps so fingers crossed its an infection and that the antibiotic will get rid of it.
she's on medication for 2 weeks and hopefully she'll respond well. If not, then I will take her for an ultrasound.
now, Daisy is resting after a very long day but thankfully she doesn't seem to be in pain and hopefully she'll be completely cured very soon!
