[Feavers]

My Syrian hamster has a small house that he’s currently nesting / living in; when I say small, it’s enough to fit him in that sits on a platform above the bottom of the cage.

I’m a complete beginner when it comes to Hamsters so I’ve gotten the advice from many sites and wanted to just gather one here.

He tends to poo and pee where he sleeps and then sleep on/in it. I’ve been told this can lead to health problems and such but someone else also told me it’s normal and to just clean it.

However; would it be okay / normal to remove the house and encourage him to use the bedding / padding that’s in the cage? Or shall I keep it there but clean it everyday or such?
