I’m sorry to hear you hamster was diagnosed with wet tail. I’m wishing her a speedy recovery.

Recovery time will vary dependent on the individual and severity of the infection. Normally antibiotics (like baytril) they are on them for a 7 day course. But your vet may want her on them for longer depending on the antibiotics she was given and if she hasn’t made good improvement. Even when her symptoms clear continue the antibiotics for the full course.

But she definitely has chance of recovery so don’t give up. Just make sure she eating and drinking - if she starts declining then get her seen again by your vet.

Unsure if your vet advised this already but you can give some probiotics to help with the gut health and increase the beneficial. In the uk we can buy Pro-C from pet stores.
