Default Re: Johnson’s Tea Tree Skin Cream for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, etc.

I wouldn't use the cream at all. Tea trea is extremely toxic to pretty much any animal particularly the essential oil form which is included in that. It also contains lavender which is known to cause neurological issues in other rodents as well as being an irritant in general.

If you absolutely needed to use something topical I would lean towards either fresh aloe if you can get that(DIY straight from the plant to avoid additives etc) or a plain high quality coconut oil in a very small amount, just enough to moisturize that's quickly absorbed. You don't want to feel a greasy residue once it's properly rubbed in if you're using a good oil - that's generally a sign you've used too much!

For overall skin and coat health it's always a good idea to add natural sources of healthy fats to the diet if you don't already. Flax seed is a good staple for this but it's good for the diet to have variety in general with all different kinds of safe seeds & nuts since you can get different benefits from different ones.
