Every single one of my dwarf hybrids developed health issues at around 14/16 months and some stayed on metacam permanently.

Sadly, it's often down to poor genetics and all we can do is deal with health problems as and when they arise to make our little friends as comfortable as possible.

A soft diet can still give him all the nutrients he needs. Have you tried a small cube of tofu? He may like that. I buy the firm one.
