The import fees to the Uk are huge - and not only that, hugely bureaucratic - which is why so many manufacturers are not shipping to the Uk any more - because they have to have all kind of licences and paperwork and import forms etc. They have to pay the export/import duties and they get passed on to us.

I know one German business told me this - that they would love to still supply their Uk customers but wasn't economically viable for them and on top of that the additional hoops to jump through would have meant their business couldn't function efficiently.
