Oh, that's interesting. I figured the avoidance of high sugars/insulin peaks could somewhat prevent diabetes from manifesting in the hamster, genetic predisposition or not. I thought seeing how that is how it works with people, it would be relatively similar to hamsters. Like, despite the predisposition being there, as long as the right environmental factors are put in place, you may be able to avoid it?
