At the moment it would most likely be a barred cage. I don't currently have the space (nor the expertise!) to customize any IKEA furniture, and I'm not even sure there is an IKEA in my area!
I have been looking at the Savic Plaza - would this be suitable for a dwarf hamster if I was to get one in the future? I wasn't sure about the bar spacing. How much smaller in the Hamster Heaven to the Plaza? And how do you block the parts where the tubes and penthouse is? I know those wouldn't be particularly suitable. The bigger wheel would fit in both those cages would it?
