This was the hamster birthday cake I did (a few years ago now when I had time to faff about and make a video
). Done it twice - hamsters ate the filling but not the cake ha ha - I think it needed more walnuts and pumpkin seeds in it. Beating the egg white was to get it to rise without raising agent. I actually think, on a special occasion, a bit of sugar is probably ok.
I do like the sound of those biscuits Ria. I also fancy pancakes now!
