Robos kind of squat on their back legs to wash. Maybe they don't meerkat because they are so short, hehe or like you say, probably fall over, haha.
Yes, the wild meerkatting pose combined with hissing and paws up like a bear is definitely a threatening pose to get the opponent to back off.
