Yes just buy human grade ones and you'll be fine
. I get sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds from the supermarket. Agree I wouldn't buy peanuts as the grade varies hugely. But monkey nuts (peanuts in shells) are fine. I used to get those in the supermarket too.
