Re: Hamster losing weight
Unfortunately, Cookie lost a few more grams after my last post but I weighed her tonight and it hasn’t changed from the weekend. She has eaten some softened pellets but I noticed some food I scattered in her cage had been left and not moved into storage, which is unlike her. I can’t see anything wrong with her teeth but I’m wondering if there could be a problem with her jaw. She seems happy to nibble small pieces of fruit and vegetables.
I was going to buy some baby food but couldn’t find anything suitable. A lot of the plain fruit/veg ones had a dash of lemon - I wasn’t sure if that would be ok as hamsters don’t eat citrus fruits. Can anyone recommend a particular baby food?
