Hey all, sorry to ask my third question in these past 2 weeks but I have one more question about my almost 2 year old hamster icicle

She’s been treated with antibiotics for an abscess/infection in her cheek but I read online that most abscesses need to be drained as well as antibiotics? The vet said it’s nearly gone now after her full 2 weeks of antibiotics but I’m worried it might return because it was never drained

I’ve been told to give her more of the antibiotics if it comes back but idk if that will help a second time? Or if they have to be drained. The vet said I caught it very early and that it wasn’t much swelling for a hamster to begin with

(Otherwise right now she’s doing so amazing considering she seemed so sick one night last week. I’m so happy for her and she’s been acting normal and happy and excited to visit me outside the cage every day)
