Ive had Pascal for a few months now, he is a rusian dwarf. A few moments ago I heard him making a soft sqeaking noise from inside his burrow, i tried calling his name a few times but he didnt come out like he usually does. The noises were like a soft chittering / sqeaking or humming noise not the loud squaki g noises i know that syrian hamsters can do when theyre scared or in pain. I slowly removed the bedding that was on top of him until he poked his head out at me he came out of his den and let me pick him up while he continued to make the noises. He ate some mealworms and i gave him some fresh food whitch he ate. Im just worried that he could be sick or hurt. Hes currently on his wheel so i dont think that his feet or legs are hurting. He stopped making the noise once he woke up properly and is acting like nothings happened he is eating and drinking normally and hes on his wheel. Does anyone know if its normal for them to make this noise? Ive never heard him make it before so im worried. The vets in my area are closed until the morning.
