I just put 3 or 4 on a baby food lid and just a few drops of boiled kettle water - they go soft and mushy in about 5 to 10 mins. That way they get all the nutrients required, but can still pouch and hoard their regular hamster mix (even if he can't eat it) and still have normal behaviours. And they enjoy the supplements (the baby food and soaked science selective).

I think we enjoyed making the cake and watching him tackle it more than he enjoyed eating it TBH but he had fun licking powdered pistachio and the cucumber decoration off the top!
