I was able to do it while she was completely distracted in her food dish. It probably could have gone a few days more, but some bits were pretty yellow.
She did later find out, and threw a tantrum when I was over there. Kicked around the bedding in our play area. No bites, and still pretty tame so I'm taking it as a win.
