As far as the food goes, I'll gladly take the suggestion and give that stuff a whirl. The hamster taxi idea worked great too.
Little Pearl actually didn't care for freeroaming one bit. It seems she just likes spending time together in that corner of her enclosure. Going to slow things down and stick at her pace.
Without fail, she's always up at 3pm here for a "midnight snack". I offered her a bit extra and on my hand for once, seems there's no love lost for the scary outing.
