Exo Terras CAN be made into hamster homes, but I still am not massively fond of them.
For starters, there's
2 options for 90cm Exo Terra's:
- 90x45x30cm (l x w x h)
90x45x45cm (l x w x h)
I struggle to see how you could get a strong amount of bedding into the confines of an Exo Terra. You would most definitely have enough for the hamster to submerge itself, but not enough to make a decent burrowing system, which I think we all want for our hamsters. This is my main fault with Exo Terra's as they are otherwise a brilliant find and, at the cost that you found it, an excellent home for hamsters.
90x50 is practically the minimum, which is something I thought should be mentioned. If you're splurging on such a cage, then the size of the cage and further the overall quality of the hamsters life should be what's being considered the most.
