Default Re: Having a hamster while at uni?

I just know a number of people on here have had a hamster in their rooms at University! Lots of talk about where to fit a cage in their room! Maybe university rules vary. It could be worth emailing the provost asking if it's ok to have a very small hamster in your room who lives in a cage which would cause no problems. You could tell them he's a therapy pet (although they might ask for a GP letter then to say he's a therapy pet!). So maybe not, if you don't need a therapy pet!

The provost is usually the person who deals with any personal or welfare issues I think.
