There have been other people that asked this question in the past, and the answer remains the same - absolutely not. It just isn't safe for a variety of reasons, including things like pathogens and parasites, which we're not completely capable of getting rid of through the bake and sift method.

Stick to storebought play sand and don't touch the stuff from the beach, and you'll not have the major safety issues that come with beach sand!
