Clever idea. I think he will use it. He "might" decide to nest in it however. If he does that you could maybe make shorter versions - I know they like tubes and tunnels that lead from somewhere to somewhere (eg from the top of a house to a shelf). Or maybe he'll just enjoy running through it.
