Not all hamsters like the same things, but sometimes it can take trying multiple times for any sort of pet to be interested in some veg. Sometimes you can even try different forms and that may work, for example shredded over entire chunks. Sometimes you might even end up having to resort to mixing very tiny pieces into other foods to convince some pets!

I personally know there can be a huge difference in taste with fresh foods depending on if they're in season, where they come from(average supermarket vs even organic sometimes, and locally grown can be surprisingly different in flavor), etc. There are also many different varieties within plant species and that can also impact flavor, texture, etc.
