The wheel does have some small gaps where the 2 pieces lock together. I will see about covering them as well or i couod fill them with a dab of hot glue then wipe flat. Does have a sand bath using a hidey house on the top floor. Then the potty jar on the bottom also has sand witj a bit of bedding on top.

I appreciate the insight and suggestions. We have been learning so much this past month on care and needs amd trying to make ongoing improvements for little Robo. I do recognize that the cage is a bit small. Its also proven to have some really frustrating design flaws. I do intend to build a diy cage but that will have to wait as finances are tight at present. For now I have to work with whats at hand. I will cut away the plastic I mentioned for now as that will open the area up for him. Later I will make an ikea cage as the linnmon version seems large and easy to access and maintain.
