Hamster Central - View Single Post - are gloves an efficient way to hold hamsters?

i've heard before that you can practice holding hamsters with gloves while taming them, but i wasn't sure if this would make the hamster unfamiliar with my hands when the gloves aren't on when i'm trying to hold him so i wanted to get some second opinions. like maybe i would just wear mostly transparent gloves?

i've had my hamster for a few months now and i've been struggling to hold him. i had gotten used to feeding him from my hand and he had actually gotten in my hand once without biting but i think this lead him to be more curious or something because he bit my hand kind of hard. now everytime i try to feed him from my hand or let him come in i flinch away. i feel bad about it, especially because it seems like he wants to bond but i get scared so i thought maybe gloves would help?
