Hi everyone. I'm a new hamster owner.

After lots of research I feel like the cage I currently have isn't big enough and would like to get an upgrade. I was just looking for opinions and help because this area is the only room big enough to be able to fit any kind of cage, everywhere else would be too small. Is there any way I could cut out the sides of those bookshelf's in the middle section so i can make it one long shelf and then would be able to fit a bigger cage. I hope that makes sense.
