If I’m correct I believe it works just like us. Like Salem said if they come from a long line of one colour then it’s likely.

We all have ‘dominant’ and ‘recessive’ alleles, so for hair dark is normally dominant. If you get two parents with dark hair it’s likely the child will too. However if there is history of blonde somewhere along the line then there is a 25% chance a child can have blonde hair, even if both parents hair is dark.

I actually personally have quite poor eyesight but my parents are both fine, my grandma however has the same condition as me so my mum was obviously a carrier and there was just a small chance it would be passed on…unfortunately it did 😂

Genes are actually very interesting, there’s an island where they had to adapt building colours since so many people had produced with other colour blind people, despite it being a recessive allele most the island is colour blind.

It’s just luck really.
