Sunflower seeds are definitely unfairly targeted at times within the hamster community but I've also seen it elsewhere. Obviously eating too much of any food is bad for any species whether you're viewing the issue from the perspective of hamsters or humans or any other species. Even something like broccoli shouldn't be consumed as an entire diet, yet it's an incredibly healthy food to eat!
