Female Syrians can be demanding and they need a lot of space. I had a foster female Syrian who shredded a lot of cardboard. I lined the bars with pieces of cardboard to distract her from bar chewing and gave her plenty of out of cage time every evening. She lived in the 80cmx50cm Alaska cage which wasn't big enough for her.

Does she have a 28cm wheel? If she keeps bar chewing the only option left would be to house her in a large glass tank like a fish tank with a DIY meshed and secure lid.

She's a lovely looking hamster.
