Perfectly normal behaviour and nothing to be concerned about! Hamsters switch n swop where they sleep regularly even choosing things like there wheel or in ur case her tube and in my case 'Bella' who has 3 beds all with bedding and all different sizes decided last week to choose not only to sleep in her run but in the most ridiculous funniest place yet! A 2.5inch by 2inch tiny little box! I found her huddled in there one morning last week with no bedding apart from 3 bits of carefresh she brought with her! So i got her bedding she heard me got up and starting doing her celebratory laps of her set up then started grabbing bedding from my hand and made her bed! Shes still in there now.
I do advise people to at least have 2 beds with bedding in for them to choose from. If he gets either hot or cold or just uncomfortable hes got nowhere else to choose from that's comfy. Then if he has a choice but still likes it in his tube then u no for sure he just likes it there!
If u havnt already get some bedding and place just outside of the tube dont put it in there if he wants bedding he'll do it himself.
