Yes it will. Although I have the wood trixie wheel upside down in mine to save a bit of floorspace. Any 28cm wheel will fit standing on its stand, but because the base curves in, they tend to have to take up quite a bit of room..

With the wood 28cm trixie one I removed the screws in the base and the base (not easy - took a saw). The screw holes are still there in the upright stand. I then used to large flat washers and the existing screws and screwed through the top of the bars into the wheel upright stand with the existing holes. That way the wheel is securely upside down and can be set a bit further back.
