On top of the platform is a cork mat so it is pretty soft and I did think about the flying off I didn’t have anything by his wheel at first but as I been watching the night camera for the past week he hasn’t flown off at all so I put it back I guess he’s a little wheel expert haha. He’s definitely a shy and timid one but our house is on the noisy side with my 7 year old and puppy so I know it’s gonna take longer to get used to
