Just a really tiny pea sized amount so he eats all of it. Maybe on a teaspoon? Drop the baytril on it and mix it in a bit so it's not sat on top. Some hamsters will go with that - others will shun it if they smell or taste the baytril!
I used this after having it recommended but won't be easy to get hold of if you're gouing away. It really did disguise the taste though - meaty.
