Obviously a huge ratty advocate. I have managed to "turn" every single person who has met mine- family, friends, workmen, random public on buses and trains at vets! They are very affectionate and interactive, you can teach them tricks like a dog..they even wag their tails like a dog! I'd say they require an initial payout but then upkeep is cheap- I buy bedding and food in bulk.

I personally do not agree wiht exotics like gliders, skunk etc

I always fancied ferrets and know a few people who have them.

I know people with chins but with their long lifespan of up to 20 years, most aren't "cuddly" and do require special diet and climates my vet friend says so I decided no.

What about any reptiles? I know some people with geckos and bearded dragons that were quite affectionate which suprised me!

Also have friends with giant african land snails they say are friendly!

Mantis, stick insects and various beetles too!
