I know what you mean about the fabric. I bought it because it was cheap to try it out and get a better one later but found that it works fine for Robos and shy foster dwarfs like Josie. I wouldn't put a Syrian or a confident dwarf in it though.

Your garden sounds fab. I'm still mad with myself for not saving a baby hedgehog years ago. There was a litter under the shed and one kept coming out during the day so i gave it a bit of boiled egg and cat food. One day i found it dead and later i found out that a hedgehog who comes out during the day is ill or weak and that i should have taken it to a wildlife rescue. I wished i had known.
