There's no difference in behaviour whether its a dwarf or a Syrian. They all need time to settle in and we need to be patient.
What exactly is it that you are so worried about?
Are you worried that he is ill or that he is not eating or drinking?
If you really have reason to believe that he's unwell, then you have to dig him out, give him a health check and take him to the vet if needed.
