Default Wiremesh sizes

So, the bin box I plan to rescue a dwarf hamster from an adoption centre as I get back into work within the next 2 months. (will not adopt until then)...

But just realised that the mesh on top may be too big for a dwarf (it is 12mm)... so I'm planning to use that on the detolf as I don't have a perm lid on Remys (my syrians) enclosure so will be cutting the zipties and transferring that mesh over as I know he won't ever fit through it.

However, as stated, do plan to use the bin box for adopting a dwarf in future.

I found 6 panels of 6mm from "the range" ...

Height: 61cm
Width: 91cm
Size: 6 x 6mm Mesh Size
Material: Steel

Would this work if I ziptie them together and add it as "One big sheet" on to the box?
