Is there any benefit to registering a hamster with a vet?

I’ve not been responsible for an animal before so I’ve never had to visit the vets. Their websites say you can register but don’t say why (it makes sense to me if you’ve got a pet that needs jabs, tagging etc., but hamsters?).

In case it makes any difference, I can easily get to four vets that treats hamsters (2 Vets4Pets and 2 independent). If I did register would I be best off doing it with all of them just in case?
