If you get one like that it would be a good idea to get a roll of sandpaper as well as waterproofing paint. To make sure there are no splinters. For a robo I'd probably leave the top shelf out as well or they could fall from a height (at the edges of the shelf).

Hi all!
So I think I have found a great cage ( image below)
I would sand it down, and cover the inside wooden bits with platikote or con-tact paper?
and maybe paint the outside - if I were to paint the outside white or grey does anyone have any idea what kind of paints are nontoxic to hamsters?
Thanks again for all the help! x
