I find with my robo, if i pick him up he just freezes so I can do what I need to, but he is obviously scared, so I only do it when necessary, e.g.. a health check.
I do get where you are coming from, I love my daily interaction with my syrian and couldn't be without one, but I do love watching my robo and seeing what he is up to. Not sure I could just cope with a look not touch hamster.
