Have you checked nest/stash? I gave my Syrian one when she first came and we're 3 weeks in and it's still intact but it was the S not XS. I've had some hamsters hide it and not eat it and I've had one that would chew it but it'd last a few months. Have a little poke around when you next spot clean.
