Congratulations! So much patience needed the first couple of weeks but she'll soon be eating out of your hand
She's just a baby. Our first Hamster screeched when he was very young - just the once - it was before I learned about the hand from above being like a claw. I'd put him in his pet carrier while I sorted his cage, reached down to pick him up and as he saw my hand coming from above his mouth was wide open with a shriek. I felt terrible! Realised straight away the hand from above had scared him!
