Question Teeth checking

So I was recently on another thread where people where discussing the practicing of scruffing used to check their hamsters teeth and for other medical purposes. I know that it is certainly not meant to be used as a regular handling technique and only for rare occasions such as health checks. If, hypothetically, you were comfortable in scruffing your hamster to check their teeth, how often would you do it. It doesn't seem particularly necessary at the moment but Marnies bottom incisors look to be different lengths and I was wondering if it would be advised for me to scruff her to check them. And if I did, how often should I check them. I was thinking about once every two months and I know that she has is at least accustomed to it because when I arrived at the breeders house that I received her from, they scruffed her right before we left to check her teeth.
