We lost our beautiful hamster, Nibbles, last week. She became ill and went downhill very quickly so it’s all been a shock. She was 18 months old.

She was the softest and most sweet-natured little thing, and me and my two children thought the world of her. On her most famous adventure, she managed to escape under the floorboards through an unknown hole - we didn't think we'd ever see her again. We pulled up floorboards and laid bucket traps and 36 hours later I went downstairs in the early hours to find her sitting in one of the buckets! I can't describe how elated I felt at seeing her dusty little face looking up at me!

Sleep well, beautiful girl. We will never forget you.
