Blood in cage
Hi,
I have a 1.5 year old female Syrian hamster called Ruby. When she woke up this evening I opened her cage to say hello and noticed a small amount of blood on one of her gnawing toys (see photo). I have examined her and can't see any wound, and she is behaving normally and doesn't mind being handled. She doesn't appear to have a sore mouth either.
What should I do? Is it best just to keep an eye on her or should I think about taking her to the vet?
