I would strongly recommend against trying to make your own food. It's extremely easy to wind up with deficiencies and serious balance issues no matter how hard you try or how much time and money you put into ingredients.

In the UK, an excellent choice for premade high quality foods that are already properly balanced would be using foods from Rodipet - preferably their junior mixes, with options for hybrids & dwarfs in general as well as syrians(best to stick to the teddy junior mix for syrians though with the higher protein).
